Research Profile
Dr Martin Weiser is head of the Research Group Computational Medicine and the Numerical Mathematics department of the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB). He is also a member of the DFG Research Center Matheon "Mathematics for key technologies".
His main area of interest is scientific computing, involving numerical analysis, computer science, applications, and functional analysis. In particular his research activity deals with: finite element methods for partial differential equations, applications in medicine, optimal control problems, multi-scale and multi-physics problems, function space oriented numerics generic and object oriented implementations.
